The concept is intriguing indeed. However, as Diane said, the frame distracts (blurred versus sharp painting). Your painting might stand stronger without it. Good stuff though.

I love it when an artist gives no description...compare my interpretation to Dkbfly...I think it's the GUY who's enslaved, losing his identitiy to the womans insideous ways, represented by her entwining tentacles!!! I kinda like the frame...but only if it's in focus...blurry like this it looks like a mistake. Otherwise very cool....i like!

Don't understand the concept. The title suggest a contradiction, am I even close? Like the composition, though. The bottom of the painting is blurry with symbols worked in quite cunningly. Perhaps the frame is supposed to further that idea. Kinky

great work! i agree about the frame being distracting. i think the 'old' look of it looks absolutely amazing, but i would prefer it to be sharper and narrower so that it doesn't steal one's attention from the painting itself. by the way, the title reminded me of a Nine Inch Nails song. any connection there? +9/10
